Why Work with me?
My goal is to help you present your business to the world in the best light possible in print or online with eye-catching and professional graphic designs.
Together, we will develop a memorable and professional visual identity that best represents your core values and showcases your products and services, so you’re ready to take your business to the next level.
As I support you with attractive and professional graphic design, you can concentrate on growing your business and providing the best products and services to your clients and customers.
I specialise in working with fellow freelancers and small business owners, creating long-lasting working relationships founded on trust, creativity and quality. I especially love supporting organisations, charities and not-for-profits who have a dedicated environmental ethos, a focus on mental health awareness/support or local community enrichment initiatives.
My work ethic
DIVERSE
CREATIVITY
I am a remixer, a collage maestro, a specialist jack-of-all-trades. Variety fuels my creativity and I draw on all manner of sources for my creative inspiration.
As an individual with eclectic interests,
I have the added advantage of being an adept generalist, able to think broadly and flex my creativity to suit any industry, niche, audience and visual style.
APPROACHABLE
EXPERTISE
As well as creative design solutions,
I support my clients to make informed design decisions and navigate print and digital options without the mind boggling jargon.
You can rest assured that your design requirements are in a safe pair of hands and with that peace of mind you can focus on your business and concentrate on doing what you do best.
AFFORDABLE
QUALITY
Small businesses are the heart and soul of local communities and I believe that great looking graphic design shouldn’t be the sole preserve of the big brands with big budgets.
I am passionate about providing affordable design solutions that are within budget and without any compromise on quality.
About ME
PROFESSIONALLY
I nailed a First class BA (hons) degree in Fine Art at the University of Reading and flexing my self-learning muscles landed myself a gig as in-house graphic designer for the Reading University Students’ Union.
In 2015, I took the leap into freelancing in order to broaden my portfolio and discover new challenges and opportunities for self-development.
Since then, through a commitment to customer service and high quality results, I’ve built a loyal client base solely through referral and word of mouth.
Fun Fact: I’m most creatively productive when listening to rock music but need silence to work with words or numbers.
ARTISTICALLY
If art imitates life, then I am as eclectic and diverse in my creative pursuits as I am in my work and personal life. Or is it vice versa?
I love getting my hands dirty, my clothes messy and trying out ALL the things; from drawing to embroidery, digital art to linocut printmaking, sound works to performance art, ceramics to site-specific installation.
All things biological capture my interest, with a particular fascination for skeletons and anatomical diagrams, and these feature heavily in my representational work. My more conceptual work tends to address themes of identity and immigration, transition and transience.
PERSONALLY
I am a Lebanese-Kiwi who’s just returned to Otautahi after 25 years abroad, mostly in the UK.
I have a passion for dance and teach African American dance styles; Lindy Hop, Blues and Vernacular Jazz. I get a buzz from cultivating community and bringing people together, so for fun I organise local swing dance socials, workshops and events.
If I’m not dancing you can find me either getting my social fix by playing some flavour of computer or board game with friends, or recouping my social energy with long walks in green spaces, sun soaking in my hammock or snuggling up to read a book or watch a film with my affectionate moggy Tui.
